Many urbanites worry about setting down roots -- literal roots -- around rental properties, and some simply do not have a patch of land to work with at all. The Hochbeet Planter is great for all types of metropolitan people living in all sorts of houses and apartment complexes, enabling them to establish a garden wherever they might like.
Simon Frambach worked with Thinking Hands and several other designers on this project. The results of their research led them to produce an elevated flower pot with a lightweight but sturdy tubular steel frame. A rounded triangular rim is integrated into the assembly of the top of the Hochbeet Planter, offering support for a hemp fabric basket of soil. If you plan to move away or to simply reorganize your balcony garden, the job is much easier with this simple contraption.
