The Hitch Cookbook is a Visual How-To to Hitchcock Classics
Carly Foy — July 14, 2011 — Art & Design
The Hitch Cookbook is a unique project from University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover done by students Felix Meyer, Pascal Monaco and Torsten Strer.
The book is flipped through with narration by Peter Bennett, whose eerie voice is the perfect fit with the video and its theme. According to Pascal Monaco, the Hitch Cookbook was, "[...] made for Hitchcock enthusiasts and every other couch potato out there."
The video is composed of papercraft style animation and ends on a unique quote of Alfred Hitchcock's, which was, "For me, cinema is not a slice of life but a piece of cake..."
Implications - Aspiring film makers are extremely interested in finding out the inner workings of their favorite directors and are willing to use any resource that would allow them to gather the skills that the person had that made them so successful.
