The History of Mickey Mouse is Conveyed into Fun Pictorial Charts

— October 1, 2012 — Life-Stages
The beloved cartoon mouse gracing the televisions across the globe since 1928 is now depicted in a special infographic to tell the story of the history of Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse was created by Disney in 1928 by the artist Ub Iwerks who wanted to revamp the rabbit creature previously drawn by the company. Mickey Mouse debuted in his first silent film Plane Crazy that year, which cost the company $1,772.89 to produce. Fast forward to 1932 and the Mickey Mouse Club reaches 1 million members.

In 1938, a few changes to Mickey Mouse's appearance were made; his pupils are changed to add whites around the black irises. In 1955, the Mickey Mouse Club debuted on TV with the grand opening of Disneyland in California. Now in present day, Mickey Mouse is becoming CGI'd for modern movies.
