London-based tech company Nothing has launched its latest high-resolution wireless earbuds called the Ear (2). The wireless earbuds derive from the success of their predecessor Ear (1), which was released in 2021 and sold 600,000 units. Carl Pei, CEO and Co-founder of Nothing, spoke about the launch: "With Ear (2), we've re-engineered everything from the ground up and utilized cutting-edge technology to create the ultimate personal listening experience."
The Ear (2) has upgraded audio performance, sound personalization, battery life, and a water-resistance rating. The wireless earbuds have a custom-built 11.6mm driver with a new diaphragm made of polyurethane (PU) and graphene, which are specific materials that improve sound quality and resolution by delivering sound frequencies. The battery life has 36 hours of playback time with a fully charged case.
The wireless earbuds have an IP54 rating, and the case has an IP55 rating, which means they are water and sweat resistant. Additionally, the audio accessories include Personal Sound Profile technology, allowing the consumer to personalize their listening experience based on their ear structure and the range of frequencies that they can hear
Ear (2) is available for $129 in GBP.
