About a year ago, 'Hims' emerged as a provider of modern grooming and wellness solutions for men and it continues to use its position as a direct-to-consumer brand to make uncomfortable health topics approachable—now, Hims is launching a new brand called 'Hers' that has been specifically described as "Hims' more refined, older badass sister."
While Hims tackles problems like men's hair loss and ED, Hers is centered on sharing affordable, FDA-approved, medical-grade products based on three categories: hair, skin and sex. As such, women are able to purchase everything from birth control pills to acne treatments with aesthetically pleasing packages in a single transaction.
One of the products that can be purchased through Hers is Addyi, the only FDA-approved medication for hypoactive sexual desire disorder. According to founder and CEO Andrew Dudum, Hers customers are "bypassing scheduling appointments and paying copays. They’re bypassing awkward conversations with their doctor."
