Finnish airline Finnair has got a new and refined lounge area at Helsinki Airport which has been created by local designer Joanna Laajisto to blend a sense of comfort together with Nordic styles. The designer brought the conversion of the airport's previous congress center to give the airline a more spacious lounge offering for its travelers in first class and business class.
She brought attention to Finnish designers and brands from current times and past eras along with others across the Nordics for an understated luxury. Laajisto shares, "Today's luxury is about functional and calming spaces where you can spend a moment surrounded by understated, elegant design. Our goal was to create spaces that allow travellers to relax and let their shoulders drop."
