Hellen Jo is a Mississippi-born, San Francisco-based cartoonist whose images have appeared in publications like Vice and The Believer. She has also done promotional work for big budget studio movies like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
In addition to her work for magazines and movie companies, Hellen Jo is currently the writer and illustrator of a coming-of-age serial comic entitled Jin & Jam. Her artistic style bleeds of Cali-cool, alternatively laid-back and detailed. Her images combine surrealist elements with hipsterlike human elements.
