You've heard of heli-skiing and heli-hiking, but did you know about heli-yoga? Yoga has been clearing the minds and strengthening the bodies of people for a very long time, and that experience has only gotten more peaceful.
On a recent trip back to the Canadian Rockies, I discovered that Icefield Helicopter Tours in Alberta has launched heli-yoga as a way to ‘lux up’ your next yoga session.
"Your departure for the spiritual retreat is by helicopter, flying in some of the Canadian Rockies’ most scenic areas," the website describes. "Your helicopter will land in a high alpine meadow where you will be left with the peace, serenity & majesty of the mountains."
The journey toward self-enlightenment costs $400 and includes a lovely picnic with the trained instructor.
While there are no videos of heli-yoga, the clip above shows the practice of Rope Yoga next to a glacial lagoon in Iceland.
