A new heavy-duty fuel-cell truck is being developed by Toyota and Hino Motors that aims to help drastically cut the emissions related to shipping and beyond. The vehicle is being developed with the Profia truck from Hino as the template and will be outfitted with two polymer electrolyte fuel-cell stacks that have been developed by Toyota for the Mirai. This would enable the vehicle to travel around 370 miles both in-city and on the highway.
The heavy-duty fuel-cell truck identifies what's being done to help curb the emissions being created by both trucks and consumer vehicles around the world. The vehicle's utilization of both fuel-cells and hydrogen would maximize its ability to travel long distances with minimal downtime.
