Gucci's Havana Sunglasses have been released to the public in the form of a short film. These 60s-inspired shades are introduced with a nostalgic fashion ad that pays homage to a popular 60s film.
The Gucci Havana Sunglasses short is inspired by the 1968 film 'The Swimmer.' In the Gucci rendition, viewers are given a luxurious remake of the opening scene where Burt Lancaster takes a dive. This 50-second remake is set during the night and begins with the camera following a model down a dim path before she dives into the pool below her. Outside of the pool, other models are enjoying a quaint soirée dressed in glamorous Gucci garments and wearing the Havana Sunglasses.
This video ad was shot in Malibu, California and directed by Gregory Harris.
