The Denny Handlebar Lock is a handlebar that can be pulled apart from the bicycle to function much like a regular U-lock. Riding around with a U-lock can be annoying as these locks can often weigh a fair bit. This Denny offering takes care of that problem. This particular lock was originally designed by the Teague design firm in Seattle specifically for Denny. This universal handlebar lock was recently unveiled at Interbike in Las Vegas.
The lock is constructed from pure steel. When pulled apart, one of the sections to which the brake levels are attached stays on the bike's handlebar stem. The rest of the sections can be used to securely attach the bike to a railing or bicycle rack much like a typical U-lock.
This handlebar lock is a convenient and safe alternative to regular U-locks.
