The Gun Box Ensures Only Owner Has Access to Its Dangerous Contents
Meghan Young — January 22, 2014 — Art & Design
One of the main arguments against owning a handgun, and there are many, is the accessibility that others have to it; the Gun Box reduces that accessibility exponentially. The Gun Box is a sleek and stylish storage case that ensures kids, angry spouses and drunken house guests can't get their dirty hands on its dangerous contents.
Designed by Ryan Hyde, the founder of RPH Engineering, LLC, the Gun Box is made out of aircraft strength aluminum alloy. In order to access the handgun stored inside, a person must use either a biometric fingerprint scanner, a RFID scanner and matching wristband, or both. Since it is meant to be left on a person's nightstand, the Gun Box also boasts dual USB ports for charging up phones and gadgets, among other features.
