Hodinkee announced that it was releasing a collaborative collection with G-Shock and John Mayer with the latest taking on the form of the G-SHOCK Ref. 5600. It kicked off with a design made in conjunction with Ed Sheeran, followed by the second alongside Online Ceramics. The third and final collaborator is Ben Clymer, founder and Executive Chairman of Hodinkee.
The new timepiece is made with inspiration from the classic emblems of the brand. Visually, it embodies a cool grey palette which is attributed to the Hodinkee logo. A spotlight hits the watch's face where it showcases "NYC, TYO, and ATL" -- these nod to the Hodinkee headquarters. The build ensures a lightweight feel with a resin case and strap, as well as an eclectric luminescent back-light.
