UK-based architecture firm Mailen Design has unveiled a look at its plans for the new GrowLab Organics medicinal cannabis production space on the Isle of Man. This will function as the headquarters for the brand and it means bringing in positive impact on the economics and environment which will harness better exportation of the plant and be the first of this on the island.
The director of Mailen Design Jon Humphreys shares "From the outset, we have closely collaborated with government bodies, local authorities, and environmental experts to ensure GrowLab Organics aligns with community needs and policy requirements. We've prioritised ecological sensitivity, incorporating native planting, bird and bat boxes, and a wildlife pond to enhance biodiversity. Dark-sky-compliant lighting helps preserve wildlife habitats and the island's nightscape while low-embodied-carbon cladding reduces construction-related environmental impacts by up to 20 per cent."
