Google says they have one trillion internet pages indexed. And that doesn't include all the Lindsay Lohan or Angelina Jolie websites or Randy Pausch or Lenny Dykstra. These are 1 trillion unique URLs. That's more URLs than there are stars in the Milky Way!
In 1998, Google indexed 26 million pages, then a billion in 2000, and now, those pages have spawned 1,000 times. Google now continuously monitors the web and indexes pages several times a day.
