Raspberry Pi Unveils its New Global Shutter Camera
The new Raspberry Pi Global Shutter camera is recently unveiled and it also relies on a 6.3 mm Sony IMX296 sensor along with the company's own board and a CSI camera conductor. Similar to other traditional global shutter sensors, it functions by pairing each pixel to its own analog storage element.
This way, light signals are able to be captured and properly stored by all pixels at the same time. In contrast, the other regular CMOS sensors read and keep light captured by pixels in a top to bottom or left-to-right structure. Additionally, Raspberry Pi reassures those that are concerned about delays by posting that "We expect supply to recover to pre-pandemic levels in the second quarter of 2023, and to be unlimited in the second half of the year."
