The Slinky Pendant Light by Sasamat Creative is Moody and Organic

The glass-blown lighting designed by Sasamat Creative is not what people would normally associate with the handmade craft. Dark and moody, the organic shapes created for the ceiling fixtures look more like sculptures than practical home decor. Worthy of art galleries, this glass-blown lighting is illuminated with neon gas, which gives it that artistic finish. After all, they don't shed might light.
Made in Vancouver, British Columbia, the glass-blown lighting has a playful touch. Dubbed the Slinky Pendant, each one was created "by blowing molten glass into the inside of the coils of metal slinky toys," writes Contemporist. The result, however, is not as youthful as one would expect. The swirling lines that help give each glass-blown lighting its shape is much more abstract that one would expect, giving it a sophisticated undertone.
