Celebrated movie set expert Travis Chambers has designed a spectacular sci fi-themed glamping retreat that comprises as many as 10 different structures that are located in the desert of Utah.
The 'Outpost X' glamping retreat comprises four different styles of glamping locations, all of which stay true to a sci-fi theme. For example, the 'Fantasy Lux' structure is crafted from gorgeous faux stone and has a cave-like aesthetic, and boasts a bed that can be slid out for easy views of the stars. Meanwhile, the 'Zen Lux' is sheathed in a transparent, dome-like roof that allows for seamless star-gazing, while a one-way mirrored bathroom lets guests enjoy showers with views of the outdoors without compromising on their privacy. Elsewhere, there's the 'Sky Lodge,' which is inspired by treehouses of Bali and has a suspended bed.
In a press release, the 'Outpost X' glamping retreat is positioned as a project that was inspired by Chambers's experience working on film sets. "He is pioneering a design aesthetic he calls 'ancient future,' which combines ancient times with modern luxury and sci-fi, imagining a future world that has embraced nature at the core of its technology," the release stated.
