In celebration of its 35th anniversary, Casio has been releasing a number of fun new takes on its G-Shock watch line, including a nostalgic Glacier Gold iteration that will stylistically transport consumers back to the 80s and 90s.
As a whole, the Glacier Gold collection embraces the use of semi-transparent resin casings and bands, which are paired with gold-toned watch faces. In the retro-style line, the DW-5035E is based off of the Casio DW-5000 model from 1983, while the circular DW-5735E draws upon the design of the DW-5400 from 1985.
While some of the watch styles in the Casio Glacier Gold watch collection are entirely analog, others like the GA735E and GA835E include both digital and analog components. As functional as these shock-resistant timepieces may be, they are also bold accessories of style and plated with an engraved logo that identifies them as special-edition models, which is appealing to collectors.
