Call me old-fashioned, but sometimes the most exciting part of fashion, in my opinion, is when clothes are stunning and still wearable, which is why the Gap Spring 2012 collection is such a massive success. Sure, seeing whimsical, outrageous collections that only Lady Gaga can pull off wearing (I realize that's a debatable statement) can be great, but often times it seems that designers have forgotten the importance of presenting audiences with clothes that they can, well, wear.
The Gap's creative director, Patrick Robinson, left the company this past May, and critics have since wondered what direction the brand will go in. Well, the Gap Spring 2012 collection certainly put all worries to rest. The collection was full of absolutely easy-to-wear, chic looks. The highlight of the runway show was definitely the pink and blue candy-colored cropped pants. Paired with a crisp white shirt, these are truly the perfect bottoms for spring.
