M — July 7, 2014 — Art & Design
This Game of Thrones card deck designed by Paul Nojima offers fans of the hit fantasy show the chance to play their favorite card games with the characters from the series.
Each of these Game of Thrones card sets cleverly replace the typical king, queen and jack illustrations with vintage-looking medieval drawings of the popular characters from the show. The cards are beautifully illustrated by hand and feature stunning shadowing and detailing done in red and black ink. Some of the characters featured include Tyrion Lannister, Arya Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister and Melisandre. Each of the aces are decorated with different Game of Thrones house sigils.
All of the cards has an antiquated look achieved by adding a distressed-looking layer over top of the images.
