The G Watch by LG will be one of the first smartwatches to be powered by Google's new Android Wear operating system. The G Watch will be compatible with a wide range of Android phones. Users will be able to use the G Watch to access information from their phone and its apps.
The watch's Android Wear operating system allows users to access answers to questions asked via the 'OK Google' command as well as health and fitness commands. They will also be able to use the G Watch to access and control other linked devices.
“The opportunity to work with Google on LG G Watch was the perfect chance for LG to really pull out all stops in both design and engineering,” said Dr. Jong-Seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile.
LG hasn't revealed too many additional details about the G Watch just yet, but says it will be launched between April and June 2014.
