'G-SYNC' is a proprietary motion-smoothing technology launched by NVIDIA in 2015. The company today launched 'G-SYNC ULMB2,' the successor to this technology, with even greater performance for faster simulated refresh rates. The company's first G-SYNC iteration has since been supported by tens of thousands of monitors, as it is nearly a staple for professional gaming, delivering lossless image quality with incredibly smooth images without screen tearing.
The ULMB 2 version, though, will push this performance even higher, but is only currently supported by two separate monitors. This is because ULMB 2 currently requires a 1440p panel with a 360Hz refresh rate minimum, meaning it is only supported by one ACER and one ASUS ROG Swift monitor at this time. However, for these monitors, while the actual refresh rate is 360Hz, with ULMB 2 G-SYNC enabled, the monitors would feel more like a 1440hz refresh rate.
