'Ola Electric,' the India-based electric vehicle manufacturer, is currently building a massive factory it calls the 'Futurefactory.' The Futurefactory will develop the 'Ola S1' line of vehicles at an astonishing rate of 10 million bikes per year. Additionally, the brand is teaming up with 'StoreDot,' the Israel-based battery solutions company, to build a 5-minute fast-charging network across India.
The Ola S1 Pro will reportedly be able to travel up to 100 miles on a single 5-minute charge with StoreDot's proprietary batteries and fast-charging technology. On top of this, the companies plan to create an improved battery by 2028 that delivers 100 miles of range after a 3-minute charge, and a battery that delivers 100 miles of range after a 2-minute charge by 2032. StoreDot has stated that this roadmap is "clear" and "hype-free" implying that it is possible and not blown out of proportion.
The Ola S1 can be purchased for a very affordable price of $1,345 USD, or approximately $2,173 CAD.
