Italian fashion label Furla is marking its 90th anniversary by reinventing its iconic Metropolis mini cross-body bag. In an untraditional move, the brand debuted a series of nine celebratory bag flaps, which the wearer can interchange with the bag's original flap, customizing its look to match any mood or outfit, without the need to choose an entirely different accessory.
The anniversary pieces represent each decade of the brand's success, covering everything from 1920s velvet, to the silver and metallics indicative of the new Millennium.
If depicting decades is not one's style, Furla has come out with even more bag flap patterns to choose from, ranging from more demure, tapestry-inspired designs to wild incarnations of exotic jungle animals, complete with faux fur and glowing yellow eye details. Whether consumers identify as a monochromatic matcher or like to experiment, Furla leaves its signature bag in the hands of one's own signature style.
