The 'From the Earth to the Moon' Watch is a wonderfully imaginative timepiece created by Swiss watchmakers Van Cleef & Arpels. This creative watch was designed for the 2011 Only Watch auction, a biennial auction held in Monaco to benefit Duchenne muscular dystrophy research.
The face of the watch is unique in that it appears to have been inspired by a child's drawing of outer space. The coolest feature of the face, aside from the art, has to be the hour and minute hands, which are represented by a star and spaceship. The back of the watch features a more detailed engraving of the spaceship and a planet and a numbering (1/1) that lets everyone know just how rare this watch is.
