Documenting the alluring and evocative relationship between two adolescent friends, Budapest-based photographer Bianka Schumann’s tender friendship photo series ‘Arkhai’ is moving and hauntingly beautiful.
The friendship photo series does a great job at capturing the relationship between two budding teens and their bond at the stage when they are both transitioning from children to adults. For the intimate series, Schumann used her younger brother and his best friends as subjects. The two adolescents look so happy and contempt being together in the series that portrays their vulnerable and naive relationship -- what the photographer believes is a “no-man’s land".
