Harley-Davidson will be rolling out free charging for its motorcycles for two years. The program will operate at participating dealers of the company, which will provide free access to ChargePoiints. The promotion will allow customers to access 500kWh of power, which users can access at Electrify America Stations.
The program will provide users with an incentive to purchase the electric motorcycle, which will be sold for a $29,799 price point. However, due to the program buyers may be enticed by the offsetting cost of free charging.
The Harley-Davidson electric motorcycle will soon be available for purchase. The model is the first electric vehicle produced by the brand, which has created anticipation for the bikes release. The bike is titled the LiveWire and will be able to have 140 miles of range with one charge.
