Plumpy'nut is a peanut butter that has powdered milk and vitamins added to it to make a sweet paste-like food. 60 Minutes reviewed the product and mentioned it literally has the potential to save lives that would otherwise be lost to malnutrition.
The peanut butter requires no refrigeration and children love the taste. It has been used in Niger where it has been called a miracle food by Doctors Without Borders.
Developed by a French scientist, two small packets a day can bring a child back from near death.
