Fort Standard is an up-and-coming design studio making a name for itself thanks to a slew of modernist furniture pieces with a warm touch. Clean and classic with a contemporary twist, Fort Standard creates household items that straddle the line between old-fashioned and modern. It is this balance, however, that appeal to people's need and want for cozy decor that makes a home feel like a home and not a mausoleum.
Founded by Ian Collings and Greg Buntain, Fort Standard is based in Brooklyn, New York. Fort Standard is not just limited in terms of furniture as well. Of the latter, Collings says, "It gave us the opportunity to think about interaction on a different scale, and heighten the level of experience between the crowd and performers."
