From The Brick Exhibition
Jeremy Gutsche — May 10, 2007 — Art & Design
On 24 May 2007, "Brick: the exhibition" will showcase the future of the brick at the Groot Handelsgebouw in Rotterdam. The exhibition features bricks that go well beyond the traditional blocks around your fireplace, showcasing "true art inspired by brick as well as new, commercial designs suitable for further development within the brick industry." To create the exhibit, the curators have invited designers from around the world to create innovative new brick designs. The bricks shown in the picture are fLORA-flex tiles, which illustrate the future of the brick: transparent, uniquely shaped, and hip.
