Given climate change and the onset of rising sea levels, a floating residence is a smart and viable housing solution for coastal cities. Estonian company Kodasema stays one step ahead with its prefabricated units that are ideal for life on the water and can be easily transported from one place to another.
Dubbed the 'Koda Light Float,' the structure is a hybrid between a building and a boat. The floating residence is a compact dwelling that spans accross roughly 277 square feet, featuring a space for sleeping, living, and a separate bathroom. In addition, Kodasema's design also boasts a deck.
The floating residence is great for commercial use as well — it would make for an "ideal harbor café," among other things.
