Artist Swoon Recycles Trash into a Floating Artist Community
Jessica Marcel — November 6, 2009 — Eco
These floating monstrosities may look like something out of Waterworld, but they’re actually much more interesting. Brooklyn artist Swoon (whose real name is Caledonia “Callie” Curry) made this floating artist community entirely out of New York City trash. Then, she set sail around the world, and adventurous artists have been joining her on her journey ever since.
The floating artist community has made it down the Mississippi, and even to Venice. The mobile ability of this floating artist community could be sending this makeshift recycled artistic utopia your way.
