The Exploded Bar looks like it has been frozen in time. The reason I say this is because it appears like it is on the constant verge of blasting apart. This detail gives it an exciting sense of adventure and mystique, as though at any point in near future this piece of furniture will actually blow apart.

The fractures extending right to the end of it taper off to show that the explosion is originating from its center, which even has a slight bulge to it.
