Lyft announced that it has added 200 new vehicles to its EV fleet in Denver, the vehicles should be available to consumers beginning in December. The EVs will be added to the Express Drive rental program. Lyft indicated that this is the largest operational EV fleet in the history of the Colorado region. The company also stated that it will transition entirely to vehicles that run on electric power.
Lyft attributes the expanded EV fleet to new legislative changes that were enacted in Colorado in May. The new changes offer tax credits for electric vehicle users.
Previously, the company added a Green Mode option, where consumers could choose EV rides. Additionally, Lyft stated it would expand its EV fleet through the course of the year.
