Embraer's eVTOL concept was created by the innovation division of the company, named EmbraerX. The vehicle is an electric verticle take off and landing (eVTOL) and was designed with user experience as well as accessibility in mind. This is why it was designed as a ride-sharing aircraft. Another accessibility feature of the vehicle is its ability to accommodate passengers who utilize wheelchairs.
Embraer's eVTOL features a system for flight safety, as well as noise reducing technology. Noise reduction is done by implementing an eight-rotor design, distributing lift around the entire vehicle. The flight system of the eVTOL features both a fly-by-wire design, as well as a design for autonomous flight. The technology for the autonomous flight mode is not ready yet, however, the company is outfitting the vehicle for autonomous capabilities once it's ready.
