Maybe it's all the Frozen-mania or just my own childish mind, but this Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture collection looks vaguely Disney-inspired. Saab's old standby of gorgeous sheer with extravagant florals and beads is still predominant, but in less sleek silhouettes than previously.
This season's Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture show had a lot more solid fabrics and more puffed out bottom halves. The vaguely Disney aesthetic comes from the large gowns and the color palette. One block of nine looks came down the runway with all blue dresses that looked like something out of the recent Disney movie 'Frozen.' After that came gowns that shaded down from black to purple to white, which were then followed by all-black outfits. The finale piece was a large white wedding dress with a veil over it, just like in a fairy tale ending.
