A large number of the furniture products on the market are inherently difficult to assemble and disassemble which can negatively affect their ability to be moved, so the 'Element No.1' table looks to change this.
Designed by Simo Lahtinen for Magisso, the table features a construction that is achieved with just three pieces and doesn't require any screws, glue, or tools to be built. This also allows it to be easily taken apart for storage or moving purposes and prevent damage from being incurred during transportation. This makes it a piece of furniture that won't need to be thrown away haphazardly between moves like some products from big box retailers.
Speaking on the 'Element No.1' table, Lahtinen said, "It is a stand against throwawayism and ‘disposable’ furniture that includes vain moving parts and does not endure disassembling."
