The Electrolux HelioDish is a portable, solar-powered cooking unit designed for folks who love the great outdoors. The HelioDish was designed by Zoltán Nagyapáti to carry out the functions of an oven.
The Electrolux HelioDish gathers energy from the sun to power its battery. Once the energy is gathered, a control panel will appear and allow you to begin cooking. The HelioDish functions like a stove top in that you can use it to fry and boil foods. Nagyapáti's design also works like a conventional oven as it can be used to roast and broil meat and vegetables.
When you are finished cooking, you can strap the Electrolux HelioDish to your back and be on your way. This design would be great for picnics in the park of day-long hikes where trail mix and energy bars just won't do. While many love thier bags of snacks and granola bars, nothing beats cooked food.
