Uber and Cityscoot have entered into a partnership in order to provide electric moped rides in Paris. Beginning next month, consumers in Paris will have access to 4,000 electric moped models, which can all be rented through the Uber app. Uber's collaboration with the French startup allows consumers in Paris to have more transportation options.
Uber users can book an electric moped within the app's home screen. Additionally, renting a moped costs the same as all of the riding options in the app, which is 29 cents a minute.
The partnership will benefit both companies, for Uber, it increases the number of different vehicles that can be rented on the platform. It also allows Cityscoot to reach an existing consumer base.
