The Colosseum lamp design by J.P. Meulendijks is an exclusive structural piece made for the brand Plankton creatively pays tribute to one of the most iconic monuments in Europe, the French Eiffel Tower. The lamp features dozens of mini figurines of the triangular installation looped together to create a cascading chandelier shade.
Offering a grandiose design is only fitting when paying tribute to a structure as iconic as the Eiffel Tower. The shade features a diameter of 47-cm and a height of 85-cm thanks to the steel figurines of Eiffel towers stacked side by side to create a mystifying effect. The towers are covered in a white matte layer that adds an avant-garde and slightly surreal aesthetic as the lamp hangs from the ceiling and consumers look up to see the miniature monuments above.
