Metro Stations in India Will have E-Commerce Collection Kiosks

Even though online shopping is in many ways more convenient, picking up packages an e-commerce collection can be difficult as many people are at work when the mail arrives. To make that whole scheduling ordeal less complicated, ten metro stations in India allow consumers to pick up their online orders as part of their regular commute.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, similar to Doddle and Network Rail in the UK, enables e-commerce collection at train stations. Ten stations in New Delhi including HUDA City Centre, Kashmere Gate and MG Road will house kiosks where shoppers can pick up their wares.

To use this service, people simply pick station collection as an option, when available. After choosing their preferred station, a one-time password is sent via email or text.
