The team at OWIU Design has created the Echo Park Hillhouse just at the top of the hill in Echo Park of Los Angeles. Home to Sue Chan, the space fuses function and tranquility with a dynamic space for entertainment. The layout brings attention to the seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor space to truly reflect on the vantage point overlooking the city.
The team integrates the natural landscape into the form of the architecture itself with large windows -- this also brings in natural lighting. The large deck extends the living space and the open-plan design forms easy movements between the newly renovated kitchen and living room. The light throughout the home includes work by designers including Noguchi and Mario Bellini.
