The simplicity and versatility of the iconic Eames plastic chair will be celebrated at the VITRA pop-up shop, which is opening in Zurich, Switzerland and Amsterdam.
The classic plastic chairs have fulfilled a variety of design needs since they were introduced in the 1940s. Since then, the chair has undergone a variety of makeovers, which guests of the pop-up shop will be invited to explore. Consumers will be welcome to browse through the colorful displays, while mixing and matching 14 different arm chair and side chair combinations. At the pop-up, users will also be able to create a custom design featuring a diverse range of bases, colors and upholstery options, which demonstrate the brand's versatile and ever-changing design classic.
