While Carnival Cruises has had a partnership with Dr. Seuss since 2013, now the company is taking the collaboration to the next level with the debut of the Dr. Seuss WaterWorks park aboard the Carnival Horizon. Designed to be fun for the whole family, the new water park will offer passengers a whole new way to beat the summer heat.
Dr. Seuss WaterWorks is a whimsical water park that will sit on the top deck of the Carnival Vista. The water park will feature two slides, the first of which is The Cat in the Hat Slide, which takes riders through an enclosed tube that twists 450 feet downward. The second slide is the Fun Things slide, which features an enclosed tube twisting 213 feet down. The park will also feature a splash zone with Seussian artwork and a 150-gallon tipping bucket.
While the new park will not be open until April of 2018 when Carnival Horizon makes its maiden voyage, the attraction demonstrates the growing demand for engaging outdoor activities on cruise ships.
