The Double Gable House is found within the Pilsen-Lochotín district in Pilsen, Czech Republic, and is designed by PRO-STORY. It elevates the space with modern touches to what was once a row of semi-detached family homes -- all of which are reimagined and alter the original scale of the neighborhood.
The original characters are also altered as the house both retains the history of the space and redefines other components. One of the most notable components is the renovation of the two archetypal gabled roofs to change the exterior whilst also creating a dynamic interior. The house features different floor levels with new wooden mezzanines and an open roof section that invites natural lighting to the space.
