If you prefer all-natural beauty products, this DIY deodorant will likely be right up your alley. From Julie of the Free People blog, the All-Natural Deodorant Bars are totally homemade.
Easily customizable, the bars are very portable and contain healthy ingredients such as odor-battling baking soda, toxin-eliminating bentonite clay, moisturizing shea butter and bacteria-fighting tea tree oil. The DIY deodorant also calls for beeswax, cocoa butter and your favorite essential oil (Julie used lavender). As bentonite clay can be irritating to sensitive skin, the blogger suggests doing a patch test first. The ingredient can also be substituted for arrowroot powder. You will also need a soap mold for the bars, or you can pour the mixture into a recycled plastic deodorant container.
