Beloved cartoon characters are translated in print format through this collection of Disney princess comic books. Made to be incredibly adorable, the reimagined illustrations boasts anime eyes, petite physiques, and more saturated colors. For the project, the company commissions cartoonist Amy Mebberson. The character makeover allows for protagonists like Ariel, Pocahontas, Cinderella, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Mulan and more to stay relevant and appeal to the younger audience that does not necessarily embrace the ultra-nostalgic aesthetics of the original series.
The Dinsey princess comic books are available exclusively at Target. The print materials are joined by merchandise, including official figurines that are created to resemble Amy Mebberson's adorable reimaginations of the iconic fictitious characters — from Jasmine and Aladin to Ariel, the Prince and Ursula.
