Max Lamb's creative practice designed a collection of furniture that includes a dining table with a secret compartment used to store dishes. The surface of the table is made of plank boards that can easily be lifted up to reveal a lowered chamber to store dishes.
The entire series from Max Lamb's uses the same plank boards to infuse each piece of furniture with a modernized workbench theme. The planks are light wood that brings a sense of freshness and nature-like vibes.
In addition to the dining table, this collection includes a large wall shelving unit and dining benches. The collection is titled 'Planks' and will be attending the London Design Festival at the Future Laboratory on September 22nd until the 27th 2015.
