Designer John Galliano had model Karlie Kloss channel screen legend Lauren Bacall for the Dior Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign. Shot by Steven Meiself, the ads were intended to capture the spirit of an old Hollywood movie.

Kloss smolders while wearing neutral-toned clothes while recalling a young Bacall. Galliano wanted the campaign to evoke an “escapist and sensual” feeling. It, like the Dior Spring/Summer 2010 collection, was inspired by film noir.
